Dark Clouds. . . .RAIN!

Dark clouds yesterday gave way to rain.
. . .and more rain today. . .no walking!
The best laid plans. I did finish JK Rowlings new book (her pseudonym is Michael Galbraith). I did NOT figure out the murderer.  She did set it up for another installment.  That was yesterday.

Today Cookies (picture later) for my best girl Rose who is 93.

Next on my reading list is my favorite author, Susanna Kearsley.  She really takes me away.

Don't know if I will be able to go to the library tonight to see my friend and author Elaine Viets in Wellington.  Night driving and Rain don't go together very well for me.  We are due for a bit of flooding.

Blessings,
Janet

Sunrise, Clouds and ducklings

Sunrise.. .. she's having trouble kicking off the covers!
 Ah. . .a bit better.
Ok, looking a lot better. . .Sunrise.
Whoops. . .they got the better of her. I think we have a rainy day ahead!
Mama and babies are across the street.  She came when she saw me. I crossed
she would have had to run her babies behind her across the busy street. No!

Baby is so sweet and growing.
The Egrets wanted the tiny bread crumbs I gave the babies.
If they got too close mama would nip and squawk.
I made sure mama got fed today.
There were 2 ducks this morning.
Here comes 3 and 4 in the distance.
4 Ducks and 5 ducklings at the Breakfast Club this morning.
The end condo can look more like a home. . .backyard patio
. . . . .and flowering bush.
Blessings,
Janet

Moon & Star, Fog, Ducklings and Sea Gull

The moon and that bright star (lower left)
 The moon 8 percent full.
Ground clouds. . . . Fog
She wasn't there when I went by the first time.
Here come 2 more.
I put the food out for them and. . .
. . .take the ducklings across the sidewalk for bits of bread. . .
. . .They can't eat the corn yet. . .mama didn't eat.
by the time she did get over to eat, corn was gone. . .all did eat the little bits left.
See how tiny he is compared with grass and mom's feet.
I haven't seen a Sea Gull here before.. .I'm pretty far from the beach.
 Still foggy.
Blessings,
Janet

Sunrise, Clouds, Squirrel, Heron, Mallard Ducks, Ducklings

I stepped out the door this morning and to the south I saw the clouds in 2 layers
with a ribbon between them.
This picture is because I have fabric exactly like this.
 Squirrel
 'Poser'
 Another pose. . . .and. . .
 Another pose.
Sunrise, sorry about the light pole,
don't think they would let me take it down,
They appear to be Two Female Mallards.
Ducklings thought about going into the water, until they saw me. . .
Up they came. . . .
. . . ready to eat.  . . this time I had little bread for them.
Four ducks in the Duck Breakfast club and 10 little ones.
oh, yes, and Egrets.
Adorable, they scattered everywhere with their little breads.

I cannot find a proper name for him, however, he looks like a speckled grey Heron.

On my walk, there appeared to be a dragon in the sky. . .
yep, the sun pulled her covers up, she only rose for a moment.
Blessings,
Janet
