Too Early for Ducks this morning!

They were across the street today.

 There has been a lot of rain and not many walkers, probably not many with food either.

This one is across the canal from me.

 As I look back across the street. . . the two of them are wandering around.

Rainbow God's Promise and Ducks

OK, we take our bath in the morning, at least in the community.

 Why, Hello . . . . getting a drink. .  .

 Whoops, I almost didn't see #3 in the back by the tennis court.

 This is totally another area of the Community. . . and then there were 6.

 I didn't see there were 3 until the one above walked out.

 There were 2 bridge ducks and a 3rd down toward the other end.

 And one across the street.

 This is the look of the sky when I started out (for the second time, it rained on me the first time out).

 The clouds were very scaring other walkers away. .. I had to get back for an 8 a.m. appt.

 A Rainbow is God's Promise to us. . . 1John2:25

 It is beautiful. . . everything is so beautiful here.

Nature is always in all her Glory.

Afternoon after the rain. . . . Ducklings were taking their walk too

There they are and mom's cleaning. There is a ditch between the two communities.

Cannot get to that community from this one. . . where the Ducklings are staying.

 Now they are foraging

 One of the ducklings is hurt and limps.  . . the larger one ont he left.

 Ducklings are out of my sight, but mom is still there letting them be familiar with being away from her.

Quilting Bee Party last night and too much rain today

We all had a good time. The celebration was to wish Cristina and hubby a safe trip (they only come for winter because they have grands in both places. She'll be back in October. We will miss Bee with her.

 Last night's clouds were an omen to the torrential rain we had today.

 Therefore, I didn't walk my 2.5 miles today. . . . yet!

Ducks cleaning and foraging

The canal as it looks today going toward the other end (bridge) north.

Only one duck today, actually there was another, far down the canal bank.

Sort of far even for an adjustment to the camera.

However, back in the community, here is a duck foraging.

 Around the block in the community, . .here's mom and dad. What's mom doing?

Dad is busy cleaning. . .what's mom doing?

 Are you finally ready to go. . . .yep, she says, I got it. . .yummy!

 The moon still looks full. 

 As I was beginning my walk this morning 7 a.m. I noticed it hight in the sky.

There were no ducks at the bridge. . .however, do you see what I see . . .?

Time to go door-to-door for breakfast. . . .

Look what my wandering eyes found. ..

I took out after 7 a.m. for my walk.  There were 2 ducks and several egrets at the bridge.

Walking back into my community and around the bend, I see John playing horseshoes. 

Every Saturday he's at the horseshoe yard, which as you can see is next to the tennis courts.

All of a sudden I my wandering eye catches movement. . . . . what's this?

Mama and her ducklings off to see the world. . . Oh My. . .look how they have grown. . .

It has been awhile since I have seen them, they have grown so big. . .
I wonder where the yellow went, unless that was the bridge duckling only.

Foggy Hazy Morning

First starting out this morning, this was everywhere. . . at the canal it is worse. By that time it had worn off the rest of the walk.  No ducks on this side and only one on the other side.

 Ah, but now I can count on one in my community. She is resting . . . waiting for the ducklings to get up, perhaps?

GA Duck hurt. . .

Only 2 ducks I saw at the Bridge was across the street. 

We've had a lot of rain last night early this morning.

 Back in my community, here she comes around the corner. . . .

 Taking a step as she goes. . .she's limping.

As you can see the foot is a bit crooked.  I did see her fly off later. No, could not catch her in flight. I've tried before and it doesn't work out . . . camera is always in the wrong place.

Good Morning Ducks cleaning for the day

I believe this is mama and babies but I could be wrong. . . they were pretty far away.

 The rest of the ducks were across the street.

 Look what I found in my own community. Thinking maybe they are not the Mom and Dad, but that they are a new couple courting.  Each of them are cleaning up for the day.
I was out and about on my walk very early today.
