Clouds, rain, and Duck Breakfast Club. . .Decorate your Palm Tree

Clouds. . .sun trying to get up.
 Front
I think Sun got the memo and went back to bed.
They started coming toward me when I was a block away.
Three ducks at the North Breakfast Club.
Yep, it started a light rain before I arrived home. . .
however, not as much as walking through the clouds yesterday.
Decorate your Palm Trees. . . it's a bright spot in a grey day.
Blessings,
Janet

Dense Fog or Walking Through Clouds, Ducks, and Cob Web

Walking through the dense fog was like walking through a rain forest. . . .clouds are drippy, but the trees and lamp posts are more drippy. No it was not the birds.  I should have brought shampoo with me.
I added contrast so that you could see the corner of the street at all.
A foggy canal.
 Three ducks. . . .
. . . .one on the fence, I finally talked him down.
 North Duck Breakfast Club.
I had to cross the street.  . South Duck Breakfast Club.
Two ducks on a fence and Ibis in flight.
2 Mallards. . .all three females.
Sea Gull is back. I imagine the flight was cancelled.
Now there's a spider. .  . . ingenuity.
Blessings,
Janet

Sunrise, Moon clouds, Ducks and Limpkin

Sunrise, she's thinking about it.
Moon is partial hidden behind the clouds (or fog).
Waning. . .27 percent full.
She shining on the cloud which looks full of something!
I often wonder if angels paint the sky. . . fingers of clouds.
Same sky only 5 minutes later.  .Golden.
Amazing how the sky changes color within minutes
while the sun is getting up, from red, to pink to golden.
Before the sun is fully up, I find 2 ducks.
One of them is a female Mallard.
Limpkin
Limpkin . . . . finally found the correct name for him.
Muscovy duck, she's the only one here. . . as I was
feeding her another one flew in.
I did see 2 female Mallards across the street.
I crossed the street, but they flew across the canal.
They are very shy and very afraid.  I put their
breakfast out and walked away. I looked back and
they are enjoying their cracked corn.
Lots of plane action this afternoon.
. . .pretty clouds and lots of Blue Sky!
Blessings,
Janet

Diane (Ali Brandon) Stuckart and Patrick Kendrick

Greenacres Library had an authors get together with two of our local authors.  The presentation was tremendous. There was a lot of interesting stories, tips and answered questions.

Diane Stuckart writes Leonardo da Vinci mysteries. The Queen's Gambit is the one I purchased.  The story takes place in 1483, Milan, province of Lombardy.  It looks like a very interesting time reading. Her other book is a Black Cat Bookshop Mystery, Words With Fiends (book 4) by her pseudonym Ali Brandon. This looks like  a fun book to read.

Patrick Kendrick is a former fire fighter, paramedic, journalist and consultant to different police type agencies.  His past includes intensely interviewing a serial killer, writing the book, and not publishing it. His book tend to be killer oriented (we are inside the killers head). Interesting view point if you want to go in that direction. His first book is Papa's Problem and he just came out with the second Extended Family.  Tales of Patrick Kindrick

They had taken the time to write their version (cosy book vs. dark book) a short mystery based on the game CLUE.  Her point of view vs his point of view were totally different and shows the differences between the genres.  Quite a good friendship between the two. They kept us in stitches and answered all questions.  It was a fun time at the Library.

Pick up their books and find out what their writing is about. I have included URLs for you to find them. Enjoy!

Blessings,
Janet

2 female ducks on south flew over to join breakfast. . . .

The blur on the left is the male duck that was sitting on the fence. .
. . . he's not sitting on the fence anymore. . .
the 2 females that flew over are at the bottom of pic.
Male duck is showing the other duck back home. . . .
He's leaving, I had to stop a car, he was needing to leave the north.
North Breakfast Club.
It is beautiful here. . .the plantings are wonderful to walk by.
As I walk back more ducks at north breakfast.
2 female Mallards.
They have been shy, but they are eating now.
Squirrel . . .sat up to pose.
Turned around, he's a poser. Lucky me.

Janet
